A Summary of the WSOP Final Table Main Event

I have been watching the World Series of Poker every week on ESPN. I haven't missed one single episode. During the commercial break, I always see this poker site called Pokerstars and this is where Pokerstars have approached some of these players and asked them if they would wear there pokerstars tag at the final table. Most of all these players, when it is all over, you will see them in a online poker tournament just about every night. I watch Dennis Phillips last year 3rd place poker winner. He plays holdem poker online just about every night. When you look at him, he doesn't look like a poker player in my opinion. Let's get back to the final table I just got ESPN HD so when I watch poker now, it has a more crisp picture. For TV purposes, the World Series of Poker main event will consist of 26 parts. 2 episodes come on per week. You will have 13 weeks to watch it. What I'm seeing this year and last year that the people that are in charge of the event is stopping the main event and coming back in November. I really like that and here is why.

1) The poker holdem players that are at the Poker Final Table have a lot of time to study each opponent that they will be playing against when the time comes.

2) Each player at the Final Table is a millionaire, so they can have 3 months to sit down and think what am I going to do with this money? or better yet what I am I going to do with the rest of the money if I win it?

If it was me, I would be thinking of other investments. I would want to spread that money around or better yet, since I will be on National Tevelesion and I know that I will be famous if I win, or even if I don't win. I would take that some of that money and invest it into my own clothing line, make DVD's for people to watch, write there own poker books. These players financial future is already set but the question is will they know how to manage there money and not go broke within a year or so?

3) They get to be nice and well rested when the time comes. In previous years, when they moved into the World Series of Poker Final Table the next day, they were exhausted from playing previous days.

These are just a few big reasons why they are possibly doing this and it all makes sense.

Players like Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu have already achieved there success, so there for they don't have to worry about money. All they want is the fame and the glory, especially hellmuth, lol.
